Renate Höllwart
is a founding member of trafo.K and an educator specialized in contemporary history, contemporary art, and public space.
At present she teaches at Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and is part of the managing team of ecm – educating/curating/managing. Postgraduate master program in exhibition theory and practice at University of Applied Arts Vienna. She is part of the core team of schnittpunkt. exhibition theory & practice.
From 1996 to 2006 she developed numerous concepts for personal and media-based art education as well as an art education website for Kunsthalle Vienna. In addition, her focus has been on projects with apprentices and trainees as well as projects in public space. Since 2001 she has also been working as a graphic designer on educational material, process-oriented documentations and publications. From 1999—2002 she was the editor-in-chief of the Austrian Association of Museum and Exhibition Educationalist’s magazine faxen.
